The event marks a pivotal effort in the community to support those affected by Parkinson's and promote understanding of the condition.
Dominic, Owner of Wakeford Digital, shared his enthusiasm: "We are proud to help this event return again in 2024, with Pedal for Parkinson's having a strong focus on raising awareness for a fantastic cause. Sarah and the PFP team do a ripper job each and every year and it's pleasing to be able to assist where possible as well as help create a positive impact on the wider community."
Pedal for Parkinson's is more than just a cycling event, with its focus aimed at fostering community spirit as well supporting Parkinson's research. Participants each year range from a range of different cycling abilities yet all join forces to pedal through the planned scenic routes, all while contributing to a cause that affects millions worldwide.
This year, the event takes place from September 25 2024 to September 29 2024.
"Riders will this year begin their journey in Launceston, ride north east towards Bridport then switch back across to Beaconsfield, continuing westward to Deloraine then making their way home to Launceston via Longford. The riders will accumulate over 6000m in elevation gain along the 500km route, making it a challenging fit for those wanting to fight the good fight against Parkinson’s Disease."

Sponsoring PFP in 2024 aligns with Wakeford Digital's core values of community engagement and social responsibility.
Our support for this event is really important to the team in making a difference beyond the digital realm, as well as highlighting the importance of local events in creating awareness and also driving change.
Dom continues, "We encourage everyone to participate, donate, or support Pedal for Parkinson's - as well as follow along and engage with the efforts via Instagram https://www.instagram.com/pfptasmania/ or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/people/Pedal-for-Parkinsons-Tasmania/100080374122794/
